Soloist of the State Opera Prague
Mezzo Veronika Hajnová Fialová graduated from the Conservatory in Bratislava where she studied in 1993–1997 and from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava where she studied in 1997–2001 in the class of Ľuba Baricová. In 1996, 1997 and 1998 she took part in master courses at Valtice (prof. J. Kotouč) and 2000 in master courses at Misslareuth/Germany (prof. T. Tomaschke). As early as during her studies she sang in the opera ensemble of J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, commencing as guest and continuing as regular soloist in 2002–2004. Her repertory covers roles of Suzuki in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, Olga in Tschaikowski’s Eugen Onegin, Charlotte in Massenet’s Werther, Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Amneris in Verdi’s Aida, Káča in Dvořák’s Čert a Káča. Veronika Hajnová Fialová was semi–finalist of the Belvedere International Singing Competition in Vienna where she was awarded the CNIPAL Prize. In 2001 she was nominated for the Thalia Prize, in the light of her incorporation of Dalila in the opera by Camille Saint–Saëns Samson and Dalila.
