Guest of the Prague State Opera
Pavel Klečka studied the Prague Conservatory with Professor Karel Petr (former soloist of the Prague State Opera). He was awarded the first prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary song at the Contest of Conservatories in Pardubice. He cooperated with the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Bedron in The Comedy on the Bridge by Bohuslav Martinů, Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart). He is appearing as the permanent guest at various opera houses in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the variability of his vocal expression, he is also a notable personality at the concert scene, which he is present at home and abroad alike (Austria, Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden). He was developing his art of interpretation under guidance of Professor Rieling at the Bach Academy. At the moment, Mr. Klečka continues his studies of singing with Professor Václav Zítko. Up to the date, he has appeared in forty-five roles, of which the most significant include Dr. Bartolo (Rossini: The Barber of Seville), Figaro, Count Almavivo (Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro), Papageno (Mozart: The Magic Flute), Leporello, Gugliemo (Mozart: Cosi fan tutte), Renato (Verdi: Un Ballo in Maschera), Marquis de Posa (Verdi: Don Carlos), Falstaff (Salieri: Falstaff).
