Milan Boček

Ballet soloist

In 1991-1999 he studied at he dance conservatory in Brno from which he graduated by “A-levels” exam and final examination. Since 1999 he was engaged in the ballet ensemble of the J. K.-Tyl-Theatre in Pilsen where he impersonated a number of roles of both the classical and the modern repertory. He danced Red Beard and the Spanish Dance in the Swan Lake, the Prince of Curland in Giselle, Don Quixote, Mama Simone in Vane Caution. Of the modern choreographic works, he was, e.g., Lucifer in Devilish Tricks (Čertoviny), Manager in Some Like It Hot, Clergyman in Small Mr. Friedemann, Mother in Psyche or Raymond in the ballet-musical Edith – the Sparrow of the Suburb. He has been engaged as the soloist of the ballet company with the Prague State Opera from the season 2004/2005. He dances Read Beard in Swan Lake, Stepmother in Prokofiev’s Cinderella, Oberon and Starveling in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Director Poliny in The Phantom of the Opera. He also solo dances in the performances My Country and Time of Pain.
