Lukáš Hynek-Krämer

Soloist, Prague State Opera

Mr Lukáš Hynek-Krämer first completed his studies of the cross flute at the Conservatoire at Pardubice, and then his courses of the solo singing with Professor Svatava Šubrtová. He won an inter-conservatoires contest, and became a finalist of the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Contest at Karlovy Vary. His first operatic experience included the part of Sarastra (The Magic Flute) at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň. He performed this part as early as at the age of twenty years. He participated in the masters' courses tutored by Paolo di Napoli and Sherill Milnes, and, later on, he took private courses with Maestro Richard Novák. Following a three-year engagement at České Budějovice, he joined the Prague State Opera as a soloist in 1997. Over the past ten years, he staged a number of parts there, mainly ones belonging to the Italian repertory. His latest successes include the staging of the role of Sarastra for Beseto Opera in Seoul (South Korea). At the Prague State Opera itself, he made a successful appearance as the Water Goblin (Rusalka) in the 2005/2006 season, and he will perform as Zacharias (Nabucco) for the first time in the next theatrical season. Lukáš Hynek-Krämer also gives concerts.
