Soprano Daniela Radosa has followed musical pursuits since she was a child (violoncello, piano, organ, ballet). A member of a number of children’s choruses, she had her vocal training at the Prague Conservatory, and regularly joined the International Interpretation Courses in Piešťany, Slovakia (under professors Magdalena Hajóssyová, Peter Mikuláš and others). While still in school, Ms Radosa was a solo vocalist of the Vít Nejedlý Army Band. Guest performances have taken her to a number of Czech opera companies, including Liberec, where the soprano appeared as Konstanze and The Queen of the Night in a co-production project called Amadeus; Plzeň (The Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute); for many years she was the Foreign Princess in Dvořák’s Rusalka, an open-air show by director Zdeněk Troška played at the Křižík Fountain at the Prague Exhibition Grounds. In 1990, Ms Radosa joined the Prague State Opera, singing Oscar in a re-run of Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera and other roles. Her regular concerts feature mainly songs and sacred music; in addition – being a coloratura soprano – she sings numerous roles from operettas and musicals.
