International Ballet Gala

The Prague International Ballet is organizing this performance in co-production with the EuroArts Music International. This event bringing together some of the most prestigious dancers of this early 21st century. Just see for yourself: Charles Jude, étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet and artistic director of the National Theatre in Bordeaux will perform together with Stéphanie Roublot, Jean Jacques Herment a Viviana Franciosi very famous one act ballet The Moor’s Pavane (Music: Henry Purcell and Choreography: José Limón). Polina Semionova, principal dancer of the Berlin State Opera with her partner Igor Zelensky, principal dancer of the Kirov Ballet and New York City Ballet will perform Manon (Music: Jules Massenet and Choreography: Kenneth MacMillan). This performance show you the different faces of modern classics, and introduce you exciting contemporary ballets. Make sure you keep that date free because it will be very interesting to see these dancers together on the Prague State Opera stage – January 11 at 7:30 PM.

EuroArts is a German company which recording prestigious musical events throughout the world, garnering international awards. For years EuroArts has been co-operation with very famous artists and prestigious opera theatres. At present the EuroArts is preparing the International Ballet Gala but also a very interesting TV event 24hours Mozart. It is a tribute to the world´s greatest musical genius, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, on the occasion of the 250th anniversry of his birth in 1756.

The Prague State Opera – Theatre History in Pictures and Dates

The Prague State Opera in cooperation with the Slovart publishing house publishes a representative book tracking the history of this significant cultural institution since its opening in 1888 till the end of the 2002/2003 season. The publication called The Prague State Opera – Theatre History in Pictures and Dates is focusing solely on the opera featured at the scene, even though the theatre under various names also served to presentation of drama plays, operettas and ballet. The Prague State opera plans to publish the volumes concentrating on those genres in the next years.
