Time of Pain

The former soloist of the Prague Chamber Ballet and the current ballet chief in Zwickau, Mr Bronislav Roznos, describes pain in his rendering of the performance – commencing with biblical scenes and historic witch hunting spectacles, to archetypal moments accompanying birth, death, as well as sexual pleasure. Bronislav Roznos’s choreography is extremely dynamic, on the verge of acrobatics at places, requiring physically limiting performance from the dancers. Suggestive pictures shown against the contrasting semi-circular structure, black background, candlelight, and almost naked bodies of the performers, will imprint for ever in the minds of all viewers with their expressive nature.
