- Is admission payable by credit/debit card?
- Payment can be made in cash, from abroad by bank transfer in advance, or by credit card (American Express, Diners Club, JCB, VISA, or MasterCard). Orders of at least fifteen tickets to a single performance can be paid for by invoice. All information concerning international payments and ticket bookings is available from Bohemia Ticket.
- Is parking available in the neighbourhood of the State Opera premises?

Owing to security precautions currently in force (immediate neighbourhood of closely watched Radio Free Europe – Radio Liberty headquarters), cars can be parked only in surface garages located in U Divadla Street.

- What is the duration of a performance, and in what language is it sung?
- Complete technical information concerning the individual productions can be found at the end of each corresponding entry for a specific title, in the repertoire section.
- Is the use of photo and video cameras allowed during performance?
- Sorry, the making of any type of sound and image record of performance is strictly prohibited.
- What is the cloakroom charge?
- The Prague State Opera offers its cloakroom service free of charge.
- Is entrance to the auditorium still allowed after the beginning of performance?
- Sorry, you may not enter the auditorium after the beginning of performance.
- Are Prague State Opera performances accessible to persons confined to wheelchair?
- Audience members depending on wheelchair have places reserved at both ends of the fifteenth row on the main floor. As access to the Opera’s historical premises is somewhat less than smooth (among other things due also to the above-indicated security precautions), the Prague State Opera recommends that disabled visitors would be accompanied by escorts.
- Is accommodation available in the vicinity of the Prague State Opera?
- Of course there is: discriminating visitors often book in hotels in the Wenceslas Square area, apart from which high standard accommodation is likewise provided by hotels and guest-houses in the Old Town (Staré Město) quarter. - Are there any restaurants in the neighbourhood?
- Zahrada v Opeře restaurant is located right in the Prague State Opera’s operations centre; equally pleasant ambience can be found at many restaurants in Vinohradská třída and the nearby Wenceslas Square.
- Is smoking allowed on the premises of the Prague State Opera?
- Smoking is not allowed in the Prague State Opera’s historical building.
- Is there a chance of getting admission at a reduced price?
- The Prague State Opera offers reductions of up to 80 percent off the basic ticket price within its 14 annual and Christmas season subscription series. The annual series subscription tickets for each following season are available from March through May every year; the Christmas season subscription tickets for performances of the winter part of the same season are on sale from November through mid-December. For detailed informa tion see Subscription department. The Prague State Opera grants 50 percent price reduction throughout the year to disabled persons.
- Are students entitled to cut-price admission?
- The Prague State Opera offers two types of student reductions. The first type, reaching up to 80 percent off the standard price, is linked with the purchase of the yearlong “Student Subscription”, available from March through May every year, covering the following season. The second type comprises all upper-circle tickets which are available to ISIC holders at 50 percent reduction off the standard price. Apart from that, the Prague State Opera box-office and the Bohemia Ticket sales point (contact) offer a choice of top quality tickets for all performances within the price range of 100 – 400 CZK. - What form of price reduction is available to senior citizens?
- Reduced admission for senior citizens is offered by the Prague State Opera only to its annual series subscribers, i.e. “Senior Subscription 1” and “Senior Subscription 2”. Subscriptions for each following season are on sale from March through May every year. A 50 percent reduction is available to senior citizens on purchase of upper-circle tickets.
