Requirements for optimum viewing experience

To make optimum use of the State Opera Prague website, you need a web browser with enabled JavaScript support and the Adobe Flash Player plug-in. (However, the website should be fully functional even without these technologies.)

You need the Adobe Reader to view documents in PDF format.

JavaScript support

Make sure that JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
How to do it?

Internet Explorer

Select Tools > Internet Options...

Click on the Security tab and select Custom level...

Scroll to Scripting > Active Scripting select the option Enabled and click OK

Mozilla Firefox

Select Tools > Options...

Click on Web Features select the box Enable JavaScript and click OK

Opera

Select Tools > Quick Prefereces > Enable JavaScript

Safari

Select Safari > Preferences

On the Security tab select Enable JavaScript

Adobe Flash Player plug-in

The Adobe Flash Player is a program for playing back Flash animation. You can download the latest free version from the Adobe website.

Adobe Reader

You must install the Adobe Reader to view documents in PDF format. You can download it for free from the Adobe website.

The Prague State Opera in cooperation with the Slovart publishing house publishes a representative book tracking the history of this significant cultural institution since its opening in 1888 till the end of the 2002/2003 season. The publication called The Prague State Opera – Theatre History in Pictures and Dates is focusing solely on the opera featured at the scene, even though the theatre under various names also served to presentation of drama plays, operettas and ballet. The Prague State opera plans to publish the volumes concentrating on those genres in the next years.
